We had occasion to be in Manhattan last night (Rachael had an appointment with a rheumatologist) so we took the opportunity to go visit the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center. As Tom said, "That is one big, honkin' tree." Of course Rachael translated that into, "That's the pumpkin tree!" Anyway, it is an extremely large tree- I took one picture of the trunk although you can't really get how big it is. It was beautiful! I had only seen the tree once before and that was in the daytime. It's much more impressive at night. The snowflakes were on one of the buildings and when the music played the snowflakes flashed in time(individually). Very cool. As a highlight of the night we were able to take a picture with...Sponge Bob. You thought it was Santa, right? Rachael was impressed with "Ho Ho" but really wanted a picture with Sponge Bob. Go figure. The first picture is the view from our hotel room.

That is so cool! Love the pictures --especially the one of BR looking out the window (enlargement time, Mom!) We should probably all make an effort to get into the city to see the sights. After all, being near NYC is one of the reasons we pay the big bucks to live where we do! ;)
OK, so i know that it's Rachael looking out the window but what does "BR" mean? I don't know if it would be a good enlargement because it's kind of blurry.
BR I think that means "Bedroom" but I'm just guessing. Because that is an AWESOME picture. Do you know in photography class how many settings we had to put our camera in to get that affect????? I smell a natural here! Those are great pictures! Looks like a lot of fun.
I always think those are the bad shots. i get frustrated with night pictures because when you use the flash it's too bright and when you don't it comes out blurry. thanks, though!
basically not much. he wants me to take her to the pediatrician next time she has a fever and they will run some blood tests to see if she has a genetic disorder that causes periodic fevers. they don't know all the genes that cause this and even if we find she has one we probably won't treat her now because it consists of shots everyday. since it's not affecting her quality of life it's not worth treating now. as long as she continues to grow on the 5th percentile we're ok. if she drops again we'll have to do something. we have to go back and see him in 3 months.
BR is Baby Rachael. PIC is right, of course! And the picture is so cool precisely because it is a little blurry. It adds to the whole "enchanted" quality. Get an enlargement and if you don't want it, I can think of a few "old ladies" who would take it off your hands...;)
One of my favorite pictures of Caleb as a newborn is a very blurry one that I had enlarged. Jenn's mom is holding him on her shoulder and it's a closeup of his face. I'll show you the next time you're here!

My guess is BR is Baby Rachael.

Ahh... nothing says Christmas like a visit from a life-sized Sponge Bob!
