Leone Family Picnic

My Uncle Joe and Aunt Lynne hosted a fabulous family picnic on August 8th. As usual they went over the top making sure that everyone had a great time. Past year's highlights include The Bug Man and a magician. This year's entertainment was a HUGE blow-up water slide!!

All the kids(and some adults) had a blast playing on the slide. Here, for your viewing pleasure, are a few more shots.

PS- a special note to Uncle Joe and Aunt Lynne- Thanks for a great day and be sure to check the mail in the next week or so. There may just be something coming your way! ;)

Easter Part I

No Tia

No Tom- well Tom's ear but that's it. Too bad, everyone else looks good in this one.
We didn't ever manage to get one with everyone in it.

Pumpkin Pickin' and Pa's Birthday

This past weekend my aunt, uncle and cousin came down from "the north country" and we decided to do some pumpkin picking, corn maze-ing and hay riding. We headed out on Saturday morning on our way to Stakey's (or Stinkey's, or Stankey's if you're Anna). Stakey's had a bumper crop of lots of different pumpkins and everyone had a great time picking just the "perfect" one. Then Tom, Aunt Bernadette and the bigger kids (Katie included) decided to tackle the corn maze. The girls outsmarted the boys and beat them out of the maze. Meanwhile, Jackie and Rachael did some jumping in the bounce house. Then we all took a "hay" ride sans the hay- they removed it because it was slippery. Wasn't quite the same, I must say.

Here's the link to the rest of the pumpkin pictures.

Afterwards we all headed over to Grandma and Pa's to celebrate Pa's birthday.

We tried to get all Pa's girls for this picture but Liv wasn't really into it.

Happy Birthday, Pa!

Ah, the zoo!

This past weekend we hung out at one of our favorite haunts- The Bronx Zoo. Tia, Ryan and Baby O met us and we spent the day walking and checking up on all the animals. Ryan was especially interested in the monkeys, giraffes, and chinchillas. The kids are vying for a tapir but at least we know THAT'S not going to happen. Rachael's favorite was the butterfly house and the Bug Carousel. It was a bit chilly but a really nice day, nonetheless.

I told Matt he should be very glad I only clean his ears!!

This is one tired Momma gorilla!

One More Day

After the big guys all moseyed off to school we of the bon bon eating set(ha, ha) decided to take the "littles" to the beach for one more carefree summer day. Rachael and I were joined by Tia, Olivia, and Tia's niece Abbey and nephew Jonah(they are actually big enough for school but started a day later than our kids). We were met by Grandma and Lissa and Seth. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Ginny was also coming down to the bay. It was a nice day and a nice way to hold on to summer for just a little while longer!
