Planet Challenge #3- Collections

This is kind of embarrassing but here goes. When I was 11 or so years old one day I was in a foul mood. My mother apparently had had enough of me and said, "What's wrong with you today? You're acting like a toad." And thus a nickname, "Toadie", and a collection was born. I'm not sure who decided that I must love frogs with that kind of nickname or who started buying all the frogs but frogs I have.

Aunt Donna bought the frog couple in the bench at the back and when Matt was born she added the "tadpole" that the mommy frog is holding. Missy Massey makes the bendy frogs in all sorts of material. I have Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Fourth of July and even graduation frogs. My father-in-law bought one of the frogs with the fishing pole (he even plays music). He also bought me a Santa frog that ribbits various Christmas carols. I have Christmas ornaments and decorations as well but the thought of going through all the boxes of Christmas stuff is too much for me.

I forgot to add this guy to the above picture.

These are little chochke frogs. My Gram was always finding funny frogs to give me. Gobby gave me the little heart box with the frog on it. The light green one towards the front was given to me from my college roomate. It came from Berlin, Germany.

These are magnets.

The frog thing even carried out to my baby shower for Rachael. LIssa painted the rocking chair and added two stuffed frogs. And the bedspread came from Ginny Carter who said when she saw it she knew I had to have it (it is pretty darn cute). The quilt was made by Aunt Doris and given to me for my birthday.

These guys are my garden frogs. I have a few more but we were storing them at my in-laws before our move and I don't think they've hopped home yet.

So, there you have it, my frog collection.

How could I forget my frog sprinkler (a gift from my mother-in-law) and my frog stepping stone- now that I think about it I believe that was from Sherry Terry too!

Holy Frogs Batman!I think you have reached your frog limit...unless you are holding out for the frog toilet brush holder or perhaps the frog nightstand...
I have to say though, your house does not seem overwhelmed with frogs, good placements.

Well, I never knew that about you and frogs. A very cute collection, I must say.

I almost bought a frog humidifier which would have been pretty cute except it was for Matt's room!
