Day 7

Some days the wait for the bus was longer than others. When Rachael wasn't trying to join other families she liked to hang out with Kyle. We actually arrived at the Magic Kingdom before it opened and were treated to the welcome show. None of us had ever been there that early, we didn't even know there was a welcome show! Needless to say there were some perks. Matt and I took Grandma and Pa on Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain with no waiting and Tom, Kyle and Rachael did Pooh, Buzz and Dumbo before we joined them again! Grandma and I even did Space Mountain without waiting! As you can see the schedule was starting to get to Rachael. She didn't make it back before her nap today. We were at MGM for dinner at a neat place called the 50's Primetime Cafe. It was like sitting in a 1950's kitchen with a TV at each table showing popular shows from that time. The waitresses act like everyone's aunt and talk about how "Mom" is cooking up something yummy in the kitchen. They call everyone "kids" and tell you how your "cousins" are misbehaving at the next table. It was fun. While everyone else went on the Star Tours Kyle and Rachael and I checked out the Star Wars speed racer and spent a little time in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Unfortunately it was too nerve wracking to take any pictures!
